6 word autobiographies

Autobiographies or life stories told in six words. I've seen this done before and they can be quite funny. You write what is happening in your life in just six words. My friend Lauren, wrote hers and sent them to the Deseret News to a lady who was writing an article about them and one of hers was published! You'll have to check the article out-there were lots of funny ones.

Here's mine-------

He's still not here. I'm waiting.

Elbow jabs. Bathroom Trips. Swollen feet.

Sleepless nights, crazy dreams, oh baby!

What's YOUR 6 word life story?

Due Date

Well the time has come.....now we just have to wait patiently.

At my doctor's appointment last Friday, I was 75% effaced and dilated to a 1. Not much action. We have another appointment this Friday to do a Non Stress Test and an ultrasound to check the amniotic fluid. I would love to go before then, but we'll see. If no action has taken place on Friday, they will induce me on Tuesday the 27th.

Until then, I will be walking as much as possible, eating spicy food and hiking Camels Back Hill in hopes that my child wants to enter this world!

Tagged by Lauren

I was tagged by Lauren. We went to school together at BYU-Idaho. She has the funniest stories about teaching, check out her blog! It's called Teacher's Tale. I could never teach junior high....high school is bad enough! :)

I'm supposed to do "6 quirks" about myself. I've already done a post like this one, but I thought I could add 3 things that were quirky about me.

quirk #1--I always eat Otter Pops (freezer pops) in pairs. I have to have two at a time. Weird, but that's the way I eat them. It doesn't matter what color, (besides purple) it just has to be in two's.

quirk #2--I HATE anything GRAPE flavored! I love real grape juice and grapes but if it's flavored grape--yuck. It makes me want to puke. Needless to say, I have a freezer full of grape Otter Pops. Stop on by if you want some!

quirk #3--This is the most embarrassing one, but I'll confess. I ROTATE everything! We're talking dishes, food, toilet paper. I rotate it. Don't know why I have this obsession but I do. When I've gone shopping, I always put the new stuff in the back and the old stuff in front. This seems normal to do, but toilet paper??? Who cares? There's no expiration date on that stuff! Still-I do it. I unload the dishwasher and put the old dishes on top of the new ones. They'll all get used, but I still rotate......my Grandmother does this too, so I'm blaming her! This makes Toby crazy, good thing he still loves me! :)

So, if you haven't done this tag before check out the rules from Lauren's blog and let's see your quirks!

12:34 am

Well, it's 12:34 am and I can't sleep (ha ha ha), so I figured I post.

Two nights ago, I dreamed we had our baby and that it was a girl and when we brought her home from the hospital, we LEFT HER in the CAR ALL NIGHT LONG! The next morning I was wondering where she was so I could feed her. When I couldn't find her, I called Toby at work, wondering if he had her. Then we realized that we left her in the car. Needless to say, I woke up ALL SWEATY and FREAKING OUT! This is why I can't sleep and don't enjoy sleeping. I have too many crazy, wacky dreams of the baby. It's nuts.

THANK YOU to all who gave such great advice on my previous post. I will totally be adding many of the items you all mentioned in my hospital bag. (no I still haven't packed it....will do tomorrow).

I have my last doctor's appointment tomorrow before the due date. We'll see how I'm doing and how long past my due date the doctor thinks he'll weight to come. The Cath lab is having $1 bets on when he'll come, how long he'll be and how much he'll weigh. So far most think he'll come Memorial Weekend. We'll have to see who wins the jackpot! I picked Friday the 23rd and that he'll be 21 inches long and 8 lbs 10 oz.

As for other news, we had another softball game tonight and of course---we lost. BUT, Toby did hit his second home run of the season! YEA Toby!

I'll post photos tomorrow, but I was given a baby shower last weekend from Heather in our ward and we had a great time. They decorated onsies for me! Too cute! I also had a shower given by the Cath lab earlier this May. Very fun and we feel very loved!

Okay, off to bed-enough rambling. Night!

Hospital Visit

Tonight, we had our tour of the hospital--the birth floor and recovery mom/babe floor. It was fun to see all the new babies in the nursery and how tiny they all were! The labor room looks nice, they have all been remodeled. There's a big giant hot tub and a bed that has all sorts of positions for during labor. It seemed like a little bit nicer than your average hospital room. I can't believe how close we are getting to my due date! I know I'll probably go late but still, I'm 39 weeks pregnant! I'm getting a little bit nervous and it's finally settling in that he's coming and I'd better get ready. I thought I'd pack my hospital bag tomorrow and get his diaper bag all ready as well.

So-here's my questions to all you mom's out there. And anyone else who feels like they can help me out as well.

1. What did you love having with you during labor?
2. What did you pack in your labor/hospital bag besides the usual?
3. Best "stuff" for babies and me---brands that you loved, products you couldn't live without ect.

Let the advice begin! I'll take all I can get. I've only got 6 days (well, we probably have way more, but I can hope) left!

Mother's Day

I love you Mom!

I hope to be just as great as a mother as you are. Thank you for always being my number one fan and always telling me that "Things will look better in the morning." :) They usually do. Thanks for the late night phone conversations, the many e-mails and text messages and everything else that you do on a daily basis for me. I truly appreciate you and thank Heavenly Father for sending you as my mom and a best friend. I love you forever!
Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day

Becky,

Happy Mother's Day! Thank you for raising such a wonderful man. I am so glad that he had you as his mother and I am reaping all the benefits of your hard work! He's a wonderful husband and I know that he'll be a wonderful father as well. We love you and all that you do for our family. Have a wonderful day!

Tory, Elizabeth and Michelle

I was able to take Tory and Elizabeth's family photos this past Sunday and they turned out so good! Tory is Toby's twin brother. We went to the bird sanctuary--one of my favorite places to take photos. Michelle did the best, she was such a happy little girl. I was amazed at how easy it was to make her smile and she seemed to be having lots of fun outside.

I took a bunch of wedding photos for Tory and Elizabeth when they first got married and I can't believe it's been already 5 years and almost two kids later(she's due with #2 in November)! It was a fun evening and I'm glad to have such great models to take photos of! To see lots more, click here!

Doctor's Visit

Went to my doctor's appointment today--still looking good and healthy. I'm 75% effaced, 0% dilated....this babe isn't budging. All of you who voted that he'd come early, it ain't happening!

My doctor was checking to see if she could feel the head and when she couldn't, we started to worry that he might be breached. So, we had a quick ultrasound and luckily he's not! Head down, just like he's supposed to be. Whew! We didn't get a great profile shot, but we did get to see that he's clearly a boy. That photo was crystal clear. I won't be posting that picture on the blog though.......

We'll have to wait to see if anything changes this next week. I have my last appointment before my due date next Friday. I'm hoping to be at least dilated to a 1!!!

One funny thing---haven't had a pregnancy moment in a long time-until today!
Coming home from the doctor's, I'm waiting for the light....I sit there for like 30 seconds wondering why it's not turning green and letting me go. Then I look up and realize that I'm at a STOP SIGN. There's NO LIGHT and luckily there was no one behind me or else they would've been honking. Just a little laugh for ya.

Softball Madness

We had another softball game tonight-didn't win but had lots of fun. (0-4....good record huh!)Toby hit a home run! He has always played well and I love to watch him play. Here are the photos I got of him running the bases. The 3rd base coach was yelling at him to stop-but he never listens and just watched the other team try and get the ball. They threw it to the catcher but she missed it and Toby made it safe. His first home run of the season! Go Toby!

We were short on girls, so we had Annie from our ward come and play. She is very good and we were lucky that she played with us. I'm glad to have an excuse not to play. I'd rather watch and cheer on the team and take photos.

The best part of the night was the triple play. They threw it to 2nd base and got the guy out and then they caught a guy in a pickle between 2nd and 3rd base. They were able to get him out at 3rd and then throw the ball to Toby who came all the way from the out field to cover 2nd and therefore, got the girl out. WHEW! Triple Play! Should've been on the Top Ten Sports Plays of the Week on ESPN!!
Here's the team captain--John. Every time he pitched, he stuck his tongue out. He was concentrating pretty hard.

Such a stud!

Twins

I took some photos of the Deitzel twins last week and thought I'd put some of their photos up. I took their photos when they were 8 weeks old and now they are 10 months! It was still hard to make them smile, Taylor was NOT giving any smiles away for free and Treston wasn't in the bestest of moods. I still managed to capture a few cute ones. I added a couple more of their photos in my flickr account, so check them out!

Tagged by Mom

4 things you may not know about me.

1. I'm afraid of the dark, but can't sleep if there's light anywhere! I have a nightlight in the hall for those many many bathroom trips.

2. My favorite thing to photograph are little kids. They don't get scared of the camera (for the most part) and it is so great to be able to capture their precious smile.

3. If I take a nap during the day, I can't sleep that evening. Not fun

4. I think I pretty much share everything with everyone about my life-there's not much people don't know about me!

4 places I go over and over.

1. Costco-I know there's only two of us, but we buy tons of stuff there!

2. Wal Mart-hate that place, but the budget allows me to buy so many things.

3. Church/Institute-there every week for church and singles FHE

4. Doctor's office-checkin' up on the pregnancy. (2 weeks to go!)

4 people who e-mail me.

1. Mom

2. Toby

3. Heather

4. Grandpa

4 of my favorite foods.

1. Chocolate

2. Chicken

3. Ice-cream (this is not a usual one, I think it came with the pregnancy!)

4. Cookies

4 places I'd rather be right now.

1. On the beach

2. Traveling with Toby somewhere

3. Home (meaning Spokane with the fam)

4. Curled up with a good book on the couch

4 people I think will repost this.

1-4. Anyone who wants too!

4 movies I watch over and over again.

1. The Princess Bride (This is the only movie that I can think of!)

Pregnancy Photo Shoot

I had a photo session with Meg (she works with Toby) who is due the day after me. She has a little boy named Miles. He was quite the crack up during the photo shoot. We had to work around his schedule as he would run in and out the door playing. She doesn't know what she is having--wants it to be a surprise.

It was an interesting photo shoot because I have never done pregnancy photos before. It was fun trying to find a way to show off her belly. We tried to get Miles to give her belly a hug or a kiss and got a few shots. If you want to see lots more, click here.

Sooo T.I.R.E.D.

I am so TIRED! Everyone says, "Get sleep before the baby comes!" but how can I do that if I can't ever sleep and stay asleep?!?!? Every night, I toss and turn and have to get up 5 million times to go to the bathroom. My back aches, my belly aches and I can't get comfortable. If I try and sleep during the day, I can't fall asleep that night. This isn't fair---all I want is one 4 hour period of deep sleep....is that too much to ask????? The joys of being pregnant!

5 Years!!!

Happy 5th Anniversary Toby!
April 26, 2003
Spokane Temple

I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like just yesterday, we met country dancing. Thanks for all the wonderful times and crazy adventures.

Some of the things we've done in the past 5 years:

Graduated college and gone back for more
Moved 5 times and have lived in Idaho (Rexburg and Boise), Nevada (Vegas twice) and beautiful Naples, Florida.
Gone to Brazil to visit your mission
Had how many car break downs??? Too many to count.
Traveled lots of fun and exciting places
Gone to many concerts
Lots of camping and outdoor adventures
Become great tennis players (well maybe Toby's great-I just like to play for fun)
Started a family-he should be here pretty soon. :)

Fallen more in love everyday! I'm so thankful that we're married and that I picked such a great spouse. I sure love and appreciate you soooo much. Thanks for being such a wonderful example to me with the way you live your life. Here's to 5 more happy and crazy years!

Enjoy the photos-they were from our dating days. I had to scan them in-we didn't have a digital camera back then (meaning 2002-2003). Wow, how the times have changed!

I love you!

Great Surprise

Toby cleaned the bathroom! This is quite the MIRACLE---seeing that in the 5 years (Saturday is our 5 year anniversary) he has cleaned the bathroom ONCE. It was such a nice surprise coming home to a clean bathroom. Remember, I've been gone for a long time and the bathroom probably hasn't been cleaned in 3 weeks. Gross, I know. So, THANK YOU babe for doing that for me! He knows how hard it is for me to bend down to pick up anything on the ground, let alone lean over to scrub the tub. It was a wonderful surprise. Better than flowers. :)

Spokane Fun

Well I finally made it home last night from Spokane. I've been gone for 12 days and it was soooo fun to be with the family. It was weird leaving because next time I go home, I'll have a baby! I don't think it has really hit any of us that he coming (and coming to stay forever-a good thing). It will be a wonderful thing to have another little family member and I know my sisters are just ecstatic to finally be aunts! They can hardly wait for the next 3 1/2 weeks to go by. As for my brother, he's excited but doesn't want to have to change any diapers!

We made more blankets-the Life is Good blanket is Toby's favorite. Probably because it has golf on it and he has always loved Life is Good products. I love all of them! So glad my mom knows how to sew and that she makes the cutest things for me. Some of the blankets we made last time and we also made a little animal blanket with a frog. We cut him in the middle and added the head to the top and then the feet on the bottom. It sure turned out cute. I had such a wonderful time with my mom. We went out to lunch, shopped, watched Pride and Prejudice and had lots of wonderful talks. She is one of my best friends and I'm so glad that we have a great relationship.

Going Home

35 weeks! Only 5 left to go, we're under 35 days! We came up to Spokane to visit the family one last time before the baby comes. Toby had to leave early, but I get to stay for another week. We had so much fun with Toby up here--the boys went golfing on Saturday and we went out to dinner with my parents at PF Changs downtown. Yummy! It's always fun to visit the fam. The girls think I've gotten bigger and love to feel the baby move. He doesn't kick as much as roll around in my belly. It's so crazy to see my belly move and watch the lumps.
I'll post more photos later, we're having lots of fun!
